The Many Health Benefits of Essiac Tea

4 herb essiac tea

Many people know that essiac tea benefits people with cancer, however, it can also help with a wide variety of other health problems too. Essiac Tea benefits people in many ways and is used not only as a treatment but also for overall health and prevention of disease. It works by removing toxins and restoring the body’s ability to protect and heal itself. The entire body system is treated naturally, and in most cases there are no side effects.

Cancer

Essiac tea cancer treatment works in two ways. Although two of it’s ingredients, burdock root and sheep sorrel have been used to treat cancer for hundreds of years, many of the other essiac tea ingredients also contain antioxidants which slow cancer growth and help prevent it from spreading. But the main reason essiac tea is so effective against cancer is the same reason it works with other diseases. These are the two most important functions of essiac tea:

1. Detox

Essiac tea helps release toxins that build up in fat and tissues into the blood stream where they can be filtered and excreted by the liver and kidneys. These are the chemicals and poisons causing cells to mutate and are in our air, food, and water, and everywhere around us. Eliminating these toxins is essential to fighting cancer growth and ensuring the organs and immune system are functioning at their absolute best.

2. Restore the Immune System

Cleaning the body of toxins and impurities frees up the immune system to focus on killing cancer cells and protecting the body. With Essiac Tea, complete body purification occurs, with a significant boost in the body’s immune system to combat any pre-existing disease by producing more lymphocytes and T-cells, the body’s natural defenses. Your immune system is the #1 defense against ALL disease and it’s proper functioning is absolutely vital! Pharmaceutical drugs have been successful at masking the symptoms of disease, but not ridding the body of the root of the problem. Unlike most alternative treatments, modern medicine focuses on treating the patients’ physical symptoms, rather than the underlying causes of the disease. In many cases the underlying cause of cancer is a weak immune system. Your body is constantly fighting cancer cells but when it is compromised, the cancer can gain a foothold.

Essiac Tea is commonly used for cancer in two ways: as an aggressive dose or as a supplement to existing traditional cancer treatment. Many people also use it to counteract the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. It’s also used to repair the immune system, which is severely weakened by these types of treatment.

One of the benefits of essiac tea is it’s ability to help the organs to better perform their duties. This includes the pancreas which produces insulin, and the liver which helps regulate blood sugar. Essiac tea can help the body produce more insulin naturally, reducing the need for prescriptions. There have even been reports of users coming off of insulin completely with essiac tea combined with a strict diet. Also by detoxing the liver it helps it to regulate blood sugar more efficiently. However, diabetics should monitor their blood sugar very closely while using essiac tea and may want to start with 1/2 a dose at first. The boost in natural insulin combined with prescriptions could be more than the body needs.

Skin

Essiac Tea is effective against many skin problems including, acne psoriasis, eczema and more. It works by cleansing the body and improving the ability of the liver to eliminate toxins. This means much less toxins will be excreted through the pores of the skin. It also improves circulation to the skin helping to remove toxins from the epidermal tissues. This overall cleansing of the body improves the ability of the immune system to fight off bacterial and fungal skin infections such as folliculitis and athlete’s foot. Essiac Tea is also a good natural source of vitamins A, E, C and B, which are essential to healthy skin.

Digestion

One of the main ingredients in essiac tea is slippery elm bark. Slippery elm produces mucilage, a gel like substance that coats the entire digestive system and eases the entire process from start to finish. This also helps to relieve symptoms of heartburn, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome and many other digestive problems. Essiac tea also stimulates the production of gastric juices as well as beneficial bacteria that aid in digestion.

Depression

As the toxins are cleansed, the organs start to work better, blood is purified and pumping better, and plenty oxygen is being distributed to the cells. This leads to a boost in energy and mood and is common among essiac tea users. It also helps the organs to better maintain the chemical balances in the body that affect emotional problems such as depression and anxiety.

I take an ounce or 2 of essiac every morning to boost immunity & I find it really does work. I prefer the tea over capsules and tablets because theres no gellatins, or fillers or preservatives. It is a PITA to make but the rewards far outweigh the effort involved. I usually use Essiac brand & sometims Flor-Essence. They are pretty similar.
